This ferrata and the Segudet canyon, built next to an adventure park, are part of a big circuit, perfect for those who want to experience new emotions. It’s a kind beginning to more difficult itineraries.

How to get there
We’ll take the N-145 road to Andorra from la Seu d’Urgell. We’ll take the diversion to Ordino once at the town. When in the centre of Ordino, we can look for the signs to Segudet. We’ll drive past two roundabouts and onto a narrow road (to Segudet) along a creek. There’s space for 3 or 4 cars right at the end of the paved road.
Getting closer
It’s very well marked. We’ll just follow the dirt track and cross Segudet river twice. We’ll take a right after a small slope upwards next to a pine forest, heading to the river. We’ll see the first stemples on the canyon where the ferrata begins.
The route
The Ordino mountain guide crew got together to build two ferratas, an adventure circuit and a canyon descent in Segudet. All the installations are free except for the adventure park, that can only be enjoyed hiring a guide (for more information: ordino.ad).
The point is that the adventure park is way funnier and exciting than the Creu de Noral ferrata, and if paying for an activity outdoors doesn’t bother you, it’s really worth enjoying the zip-lines, the lianas, the Nepalese bridges and other contrivances hung on the top of the pine trees. There’s also another mini-ferrata installed here, to help overcome fear.

With that said, let’s get into it: the Roc de la Creu del Noral ferrata can be divided into three different parts. In the first one we’ll go up several vertical and generously bolted ledges that will make us move upward from the bottom of the Segudet canyon, and will take us closer to the main wall.
In the second part we’ll find the most exposed and technical steps, which pose no major challenge to experienced ferrata lovers, but that will need assessment if we’re doing it with very small children.
We’ll have better views with Ordino in the foreground and la Massana in the background, and the Pal-Arinsal ski area.
Small shelves for feet
The third and last part consists of a long lateral section, bolted with chains and some stemples that present neither challenge nor height, where we’ll be able to enjoy the pretty forms and textures of the rock. If we’re accompanied by children, this could be the most difficult part for them due to the scarce number of foot holds and greater distance between stemples. To be assessed if we have children up to 6 years old, who we’ll have to help to do this section. A small scramble down will take us on the return path, through a pine forest.
To sum up, even though it’s for beginners, we found it a bit monotonous: we missed a few more challenging steps. We recommend doing the ferrata Segudet to enjoy different sections, also for beginners, that starts at the same wooden platform down in the canyon.

The way back
We’ll go along a small path, zigzagging through the forest, up to the beginning of the adventure park. Once there, we’ll be just two steps from the river and the car.

Ferrata en perfectas condiciones y facil de realizar. Hecha con un niño de 9 años sin problemas.
Avui he fet la ferrada amb la dona i els nostres fills de 14 i 10 anys.
Al lloc de sortida hi ha dos ferrades, la de l'esquerra és la de la Creu del Noral. (no està la plataforma).
Fàcil, vertical i molt maca.
L'últim tram és un flanqueig amb repisap estreta per posar els peus però es pot fer sense gaires problemes, els meus l'han fet bé, encara així hi ha un escape, l'únic en tota la ferrada, just abans d'aquest tram.
Ferrata realizada el 03/09/2018 y en perfecto estado. Nos comentaron que la había revisado recientemente y cambiado el cable de vida.
Como ya han comentado, no existe actualmente la pasarela de comienzo del rio, pero se podía acceder perfectamente. Los tiempos de realización son mas en torno a 1h, en nuestra opinión.
Quizás como comenta la reseña, un poco monótona, ya que es sobre todo parte vertical al principio muy equipada, y flanqueo sobre cadena después, "sin ninguna sorpresa" a destacar.
Con el calor que hizo, nosotros echamos en falta no llevar el bañador para refrescarnos en una pocita cercana del barranco :)
Respecto a dificultad, bastante fácil, aunque siguiendo nuestro criterio habitual consideramos que podría estar entre el K1-K2, ya que no extremadamente facil, y estas aproximadamente 1hora recorriendola.
realizada esta mañana con un niño de 125 cm. sin demasiada dificultad. con menos estatura si creo que pueden necesitar más ayuda.
la plataforma de madera ya no existe, la Ferrata se inicia por la izquierda, directamente sobre el riachuelo. hoy había poca agua y ha sido fácil acceder a las primeras grapas. hemos tardado 1,30h. y unos 20 en bajar por el bosque.
primera parte más fresca al ser mas sombría, y la parte superior soleada, se pasa calor . entretenida para niños medianos y principiantes.

No es una via per a iniciar a nens petits, ja que malgrat que en la 1ª i 2ª part que es mes vertical i ho poden pujar be, la part final del flanqueig es justa per als nens.
La he fet varies vegades i es bonica i facil, pero en el tram final la meva filla de 10 anys no ho va pasar be
padre, madre e hija de 8 años, ferrata bonita pero demasiados flanqueos para iniciación, cables con inicios de oxidación, hemos tardado 1h 15 aprox, la niña ha tenido problemas en los últimos tramos de flanqueos y poco equipado para los pies,

El comentari de Deandar ho explica bastant bè; ferrada poc exigent on trobem passatges transversals de sobres, al meu gust. La roca no acaba de donar confiança ja que es llosa poc resistent. Lo millor la vista sobre Ordino.

Buenas,
Hemos hecho la vía el sábado con dos chicas que se iniciaban. En general la superaron sin ningún problema, excepto en algún flanqueo lateral. Lo que nos descolocó un poco es la duración de la vía. Aquí ponía 25' de recorrido y al llegar allí 1h30'... al final tardamos casi 2h. Por suerte ibamos con mucho tiempo, pero esperábamos algo más sencillo para las chicas que se iniciaban. Para los más experimentados es una ferrata fácil con unas vistas bonitas al valle de Ordino.
Hemos hecho la ferrata hoy y nos lo hemos pasado muy bien. Eramos 5 personas: 2 adultos, un chico de 16 años, un niños de 6 y uno de 4.
A pesar de tener experiència hemos sufrido un poco por el mas pequeño, ya que sobretodo en los flanqueos no llegaba bien con las manos y pies, y en algun paso lo hemos tenido que aupar. Para el de 6 años, ha estado una super aventura que quizas se le ha hecho un poco larga (hemos tardado casi 2 horas en completar la vía) sobretodo por los flaqueos del último tramo que resbalaban un poco.
Para los mayores ha sido una Vía fàcil con algun pasito entretenido y unas vistas muy bonitas.
Así que en plan resumen, quien quiera subirla con niños menores de 6 años, que se salga de la Vía en cuanto llegue al camino del Bosque a media Ferrata, ya que sinó, lo que le quede lo tendrà que aupar cada dos por tres por el flanqueo muy resbaladizo y escasamente equipado para los pies.
Hace una semana que me inicie en las vias ferratas,esta era la 2º via que practicaba y es muy bonita. En muy buen estado aunque no la veo para niños de 4 o 5 años, excepto si realizan solo la parte de Segudet.
Sin duda repetiria, las vistas preciosas!!!

Este fin de semana hicimos esta via ferrata. Como vía para iniciación (lo que no sé si para niños de 4 o 5 años...), ya que dos personas no la habían hecho nunca, está muy bien.
Es un buen lugar y hay unas vistas espectaculares!
Recomendable!
Aqui tenemos una buena opción para iniciar a niños pequeños desde 4-5 años con la mini ferrata del bosque de aventura. Se puede iniciar con el primer tramo de la ferrata de Segudet saliendo a los 20m a la derecha sobre una colchoneta y continuando un poco por un sendero para enlazar enseguida con otro tramo de grapas de unos 40m.
